Initially influenced by fashion, design and garment construction processes, Erica now utilise similar principals to produce her soft sculpture and wearable art pieces. Erica’s painted works also contain reference to personal experiences: a fascination with interior decoration, antiques and collectables, a concern for humanity, our environment and the treatment of animals. Her work often translate into pieces comprising a blend of portraits, intimate living spaces, my own curio treasures and animal forms.

Often layered with meaning, through to pieces designed to play on emotions; works that toy with childhood memories and growing up, spending time at the beach, on farms, disjointed family connections, empathy for the lost, a love of animals as well as the fun times amongst friends, family and other loved ones..(Erica’s pets)
